Devotion是由五個來自美國加州橘子郡的小夥子在1997年組建的樂隊，樂隊在2000年2月推出了第一張專輯《Image Of Devotion》，歌曲My prayer就是出自這張專輯。而其中的單曲When I與Talking 2 U在美國的亞裔市場取得了轟動的效應，使得Devotion樂隊成功晉身爲美國三大亞裔樂隊之一（另外兩支爲Kai與One Voice）。而When I單曲的銷售量在北卡地區登頂。之後，他們進行了一次“Image of Devotion”之旅，在聖地亞哥、洛杉矶、舊金山、西雅圖、多倫多、芝加哥、紐約、休斯敦和拉斯維加斯等地巡回演出。之後，在2002年Devotion與菲律賓唱片公司Viva簽約，在2003年7月，他們推出了另一張專輯《Devotion》，這張專輯共收錄14首歌，其中有12首由他們自己創作。其中，單曲“So Wonderful”在電台播出後反響非常強烈，被收錄進菲律賓電影《Walang Kapalit》做電影音樂。期間，他們在MTV Asia上亮過相，2004年，Devotion重新回到美國加入jE唱片公司開始新的歌曲創作。
